At Fish for Thought, we are on a mission to change the way people enjoy fish and shellfish forever. In order to achieve this, we recognise that we need to lead the way when it comes to sustainable and ethical sourcing. As part of our recent new website launch, we have taken time reviewing the range of fish and shellfish that we offer. This has involved us spending time with organisations like The Marine Stewardship Council, The Cornwall Good Seafood Guide and The Marine Conservation Society.

It’s one of our biggest distractions here at FFT HQ – deciding how to cook and serve what we love the most… seafood! Should I make a fish pie? Perhaps a simple, grilled fillet with crusty bread and salad? Maybe a hearty stew? Scallops are a type of shellfish found in cold waters across the globe. In the UK these delightful shellfish are primarily sourced from regions such as Cornwall, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. They are a true delicacy of the sea, their delicate and sweet flavour, paired with a tender and buttery texture, makes them an irresistible treat. Scallops are also highly versatile in the kitchen, as they can be cooked using various techniques such as searing, grilling and poaching.
Although not favoured by everyone, Seafood pizzas are a delicious and unique twist on the classic Italian dish, adding a burst of flavour and culinary delight to each slice.
