Wild Seabass stocks are under significant pressure at the moment, and as such we have stopped sourcing this fish whilst stocks recover.

Instead we are offering Farmed Seabass from responsible farms in Greece and Turkey. Many restaurants use these smaller more cost effective fish on their menus, and whilst not the same as Wild Seabass they are still delicious and can be used in exactly the same way. The fish will be scaled and gutted for you, then packed and blast frozen. Each whole fish is a generous sharing starter for 2 or main course for one, and for a light lunch, one fish would be enough for 2.

If you take the fish whole we recommend wrapping it in foil with fennel, red onion, white wine and lemon and cooking in the oven. If you prefer fillets we recommend pan frying the fillets with butter, capers and peeled brown shrimp

Seabass is a high protein low calorie fish and an excellent source of Omega 3 containing 700 mg per 100 g of fillet! It also contains lots of essential minerals and vitamins. Overall, its very good for you!
