2 x 3 Omegas Starfish Fishcakes for 2 (100g) (Frozen)
2 x Pack 200g Skinless Plaice Fillet (Fresh)
4 x Discs (15g) Homemade Garlic Butter (Frozen)
1 x Fish Balls (10 x 20g balls) with a Hidden Veg Sauce (300g) for 2 (Frozen)
1 x Kids Curry Sauce (250g) with Diced Fish (240g) for 2 (Fresh)
2 x Mystery Portions of Seafood for you to try!

Knowing that children are sometimes a little hesitant when it comes to trying seafood, we set ourselves the task of creating a tasty, great value box, that would have the little darlings eagerly eating, and even cooking, top quality seafood.

Chef Stuart has produced some classic dishes, put together with younger tastebuds in mind - a wonderfully hearty Kids' Curry, a silky Mac & Cheese made with Shetland Salmon, and 2 packs of sublime 3 Omegas Star Fishcakes. The box will also contain 10 mouth-watering Fish Balls with a Hidden Veg Sauce which kids will love!

For kids who want to have a go at cooking fish, we have included 4 portions of Cornish plaice fillet. Chef Stuart has contributed 2 discs of homemade garlic butter to cook with them. We will also be including 2 portions of a mystery product, with the aim of getting your children tasting different seafoods that they might not necessarily have tried before.

Ingredients:

Kids Curry Sauce
Sunflower oil, shallot, garlic, ginger, ground coriander, garam masala, ground cumin, mango chutney, turmeric, coconut milk, fish stock, cinnamon stick

  • Kids Salmon Mac & Cheese
    Salmon, macaroni, flour, butter, milk, mature cheddar, parsley, English mustard, ground white pepper, fish cream sauce, parmesan, salt

  • 3 Omegas Star Fishcakes
    Fish, potatoes, milk, lemon, parsley, egg, flour, breadcrumbs, fish stock mix, dried potato mix

  • 3 Omegas Fish Balls
    Hake, egg, panko breadcrumbs, oregano, parsley, parmesan, mayonnaise, garlic

  • Hidden Veg Sauce
    Onion, celery, carrot, leek, fennel, garlic, thyme, oregano, basil, rosemary, tinned tomatoes, salt, pepper

  • Garlic butter
    Unsalted butter, garlic, parsley, sea salt

Kid's Fish Curry
(Using the Diced White Fish & Curry Sauce)
Cooking Instructions:

  1. Empty the Sauce into a large saucepan and bring to a gentle simmer
  2. Carefully add the fish pieces to the sauce, in a single layer, ensuring each piece is coated with the sauce.
  3. Poach the fish in the sauce for 4-5 minutes, or until the fish begins to flake
  4. Transfer to a plate and serve with rice or naan bread

    Kid's Salmon Mac & Cheese
    Cooking Instructions:
  5. If frozen, defrost prior to cooking
  6. Preheat the oven to 180c / Gas Mark 4
  7. Remove protective film and place the plastic container on a baking tray
  8. Place in the centre of the oven and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until piping hot
  9. Serve and enjoy

    3 Omegas Starfish Fishcakes
    Cooking Instructions:
  10. Preheat the oven to 180c / Gas Mark 4
  11. Remove the packaging and place on a baking tray
  12. Brush each Fishcake with a little sunflower oil
  13. Place in the centre of the oven and cook for 20-25 minutes (turning oven halfway through cooking)
    Alternatively place under a medium grill for 15-20 minutes (turning oven halfway through cooking)

    3 Omegas Fish Balls with Hidden Veg Sauce
    Cooking Instructions:
  14. Heat a little sunflower oil in a large frying pan
  15. Carefully add the fish balls to the pan and gently fry until the outsides have browned evenly
    (we recommend keeping them moving to get a nice even colour)
  16. Once browned, add your sauce to the pan, bring to a simmer and finish cooking the balls for 8-10 minutes
  17. Transfer to a plate and dive in!

    Cornish Plaice with Garlic butter
    Cooking Instructions:
  18. Preheat the oven to 180c / Gas Mark 4
  19. Line a baking tray with parchment / greaseproof paper
  20. Pop the Plaice fillets onto the tray with a disc of garlic butter on top
  21. Cook for 8-12 minutes
    Alternatively you can prepare as above and cook under a preheated medium grill for approximately 5 minutes

The freshest we have had for absolutely ages

We had salmon, hake and haddock which arrived speedily at the time you promised. The container was excellent and although I was nervous of getting fish online, I have to say it is the best thing we have done. We love fish and it is probably the freshest we have had for absolutely ages and is a pleasure to eat.

The fish was all super fresh!

Yes, the fish all arrived in perfect condition early on Friday morning. The smoked mackerel, salmon, halibut and wild sea bass were all delicious - bream and plaice now in the freezer - and I have received many compliments from my guests over the weekend. Like to think some of the compliments were for my cooking(!) but the fish was all top quality and super fresh. Have passed your details to one of my friends as well. Will definitely order from you in the future!
