Google Analytics: This cookie allows us to measure things like the time spent on the website, the source of the visit, which pages are viewed etc. The data is depersonalised and sent as numbers so there is no way of tracking back to the individual user of the site. This will help to protect your privacy on our website.

Google Adwords: Google adwords code allows us to track where our sales are coming from - which phrase was typed at Google that generated a click on an advert.

Google Ads Remarketing: We use the Google AdWords remarketing service to run adverts to previous visitors of our website on various websites including Google search and the Google display network. Third-party websites (including Google) use cookies to serve adverts based on a user's past visits to the Fish For Thought website. This allows us to make special offers and continue to promote our products to those who have shown interest in our products. Data collected will be used in accordance with both our own and Google's privacy policy.

You can control how Google advertises to you using Google Ad Preferences . You can also opt out of interest-based advertising with cookie settings or using a browser plugin.

Google Signals: We have activated Google signals in Google Analytics. This feature updates all existing Google Analytics data and reports to include cross-device user data. In other words, we are able to track a user’s activity even if they switch devices, as long as their Google account is the same. This ‘cross-device’ tracking is based on the devices linked to a user’s Google account, and if the user has activated the ‘personalised advertising’ setting in their Google account. Similar to Google Analytics, all data collected is depersonalised and sent as numbers, so there is no way of identifying an individual user of the site.

Facebook (Meta): Our website uses the Facebook tracking pixel. This pixel code helps us to track website conversions from ads on Facebook. It also allows us to advertise our products to users who have shown interest on our website in the form of retargeting ads. Data collected will be used in accordance with both our own and Facebook’s privacy policy.

HotJar: We use HotJar on our website to get a better understanding of user behaviour on our site. This enables us to improve and optimise our site for better user experience. HotJar uses cookies to track user data. Some of the data collected by HotJar includes time spent on pages, IP Address, device type, device screen size and geographically data (Country only). Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf.

Microsoft (Bing) Advertising: Our website also uses the Microsoft (Bing) tracking code. This allows us to advertise our products to users on the Bing search engine, as well as Microsoft partners. It also allows us to track website conversions coming from any Bing/Microsoft ads. Microsoft Advertising uses technologies such as cookies and tracking pixels with which your use of the website can be analysed. When a user clicks on an ad placed by Microsoft Advertising, a cookie for the conversion tracking will be saved on their computer. This cookie has limited validity and does not serve the purpose of personal identification. Some of the data collected includes: IP address, browser data, and device data.

Intercom: If you use the live chat feature on our website, you will be routed through intercom (live chat and customer relationship management service provider). Intercom maintains a copy of all communications undertaken between you and our team members. Examples of data collected by Intercom include name, email address, operating system, browser version, IP address, and contents of message. Data collected will be used in accordance with both our own and Intercom’s privacy policy.

If you do not want the above tools to track your user behaviour as mentioned on this page, then you can decline the ‘Marketing, Analytics & Advertising’ cookies via our cookie banner. See our cookie policy for more information.
